Tubing season is here!!! Hot
weather and cool water make a great
combination! Come tubing with us today.
It's time to start thinking about July 4th. We
still have some spots available - call and reserve yours
today! Fireworks will begin after dark. As a reminder,
personal fireworks are not allowed at the
campground.
Hill's Hardwood Grill is officially open! They
are open Monday - Saturday, 11:00 - 7:00 and on Sunday
from 12:00 - 7:00. Plan on getting your lunch here or
call in advance and have food ready for your group!
We are proud to offer
primitive and water/electric camping sites along with three
(3) "sleeper" cabins in the beautiful Western North Carolina
mountains. We have frontage on Green River which
offers stocked trout fishing,
kayaking,
canoeing,
rafting and of course,
TUBING! Tube rentals and
shuttle services are available on site for everyone - so
even if you can't stay all night with us, join us for the
day.
We also have a small pond
for brim and catfish fishing located at the campground (you
do not have to have a fishing license for the pond).
Our Campground joins part
of the Polk County Game Lands which consists of
approximately 18,000 acres. The game lands are covered
with several miles of hiking trails (that begin just across
the road from us), have abundant area for hunting - such as
deer and turkey, and they provide some horse riding trails.
Our property joins "Delayed
Harvest" trout waters and are fishable year-round.
These waters are stocked regularly. There are also
hatchery supported and wild trout waters within two (2)
miles of our property. North Carolina
Hunting/Fishing licenses are required.
